The barriers discussed in the previous pages are only a small sample of the kinds of challenges that immigrants face when coming to Canada to work. It seems that many of these challenges can be overcome, but it will take a great deal of policy change and education. Unfortunately policy change cannot change the occurrences of racism in Canada. This can only be overcome through education. Canada is making progress in allowing fair access for immigrants to work in their desired field, but there are still many challenges along the way.
